The Wichita State University baseball team begins its 2026 campaign this weekend, hosting University of Northern Colorado for a four-game series at Eck Stadium.
With temperatures expected to be warmer than typical for mid-February, the opening matchup is scheduled for a 3:05 p.m. first pitch on Friday. Although rain is possible Saturday—when the teams are set for a doubleheader—forecast highs in the 60s should help keep the weekend games on track.
After the season-opening homestand, Wichita State will head to Hawaii for another four-game stretch running Feb. 19–22, offering the team a chance to play in a region largely unaffected by winter weather.
