20 years ago on this night (2003), Wichita State played its first regular season men's basketball game at its newly-renovated facility, Charles Koch Arena. It was a 68-51 win for the Shockers against Northern Arizona.

Rob Kampman led the Shockers with 26 points and 13 rebounds in the new $25 million state-of-the-art arena. A sellout crowd of more than 10,000 fans attended the historic opener.

The site at 21st & Hillside had previously been the home of Henry Levitt Arena, a facility that when it opened in 1955, was known as the Roundhouse.
