The Wichita State men's basketball team won in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference, with a 68-67, victory over South Florida.
Wichita won all three of its meetings this season vs. the Bulls. WSU (16-4) is now on an eight-game winning streak which has spanned seven weeks.
The Shockers have now won their conference-tournament opening game 12 years in a row; this is also WSU's first-ever win in Fort Worth, TX.

Morris Udeze drew a charging foul with 4.1 seconds remaining in the game, which proved to be the winning play for the Shockers.
Wichita State trailed by 12 points with 12:26 to go in the second half, but clawed back slowly.
Clarence Jackson made a pair of 3-pointers, and Craig Porter Jr. got a steal and a pair of buckets to cut the lead to four with 8:41 remaining.
After the Bulls pulled ahead by seven points with 6:00 on the clock, the Shockers ended the game on a 10-2 run, allowing just one bucket.
Udeze drew the eventual game-winning charge and Tyson Etienne followed with a one-and-one chance at the free-throw line. He missed the front end, but the Bulls' final half-court shot didn't go down.
Tyson Etienne led the Shockers in scoring with 20 points.
Alterique Gilbert scored 12 points and made two key 3-poinnters down the stretch for Wichita State.
Udeze was one point shy of a double-double. He scored nine points and collected 11 rebounds.
