A woman was killed in a mass shooting Monday morning on a Greyhound bus traveling through the Grapevine from Los Angeles to San Francisco.

CHP officer Brian Pennings gave an update on the passengers wounded in the attack at a news conference in Lebec.

"There were a total of six victims. We had five of them transported, one of them by air ambulance, four of them by ground ambulance and I regret to inform you one of them sustained fatal injuries. The suspect, at this time, has been transported and is awaiting questioning," Pennings said.

The woman who was killed was 51-years-old and a citizen of Colombia.

The handgun has been recovered from bus and the gunman is still being questioned.

The CHP says operators started getting 911 calls from people on the bus shortly before 1:30 a.m. Monday morning. The bus left Los Angeles around 11:45 p.m. Sunday and had 40 people on board.
