The person who had been threatening to jump from an overpass at Hollywood Boulevard onto the Hollywood (101) Freeway for more than 10 hours has been safely taken into custody and will be taken to a hospital for an evaluation, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart says.
The 101 freeway is now open in both directions in Hollywood after massive disruptions in Tuesday's morning commute.
