A third alarm fire swept through an apartment building leaving several residents without a home in Pasadena Wednesday.
KNX reporter Margaret Carrero reported that a fire spokesperson says two dogs were found dead inside the apartment where the fire started.
The fire was on East Bellevue Drive.
A total of five units were involved and are not habitable due to smoke and fire damage.
Lisa Derderian with Pasadena Fire says the fire started just before 9 a.m. and was fully involved when crews arrived.
Officials say several people, including some firefighters, are being assessed for minor injuries and possible smoke inhalation.
There was some good news.
A 13-year-old cat was pulled to safety from a first-floor apartment.
