Actress and political activist, Alyssa Milano, was put into a position of defending herself this week after a conservative publication posted a video of her in what appears to be blackface. According to Daily Wire, Milano vehemently denies that her 2013 sketch in "Funny or Die" was blackface. She explains she was mimicking Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, a Chilean-American reality TV star from MTVs "Jersey Shore," who was known for her extreme suntan.

In the under the two-minute video Milano is seen getting into makeup and wardrobe.

Hey, assholes. The below picture is me parodying Jersey Shore and Snookie’s tan.Snookie’s tan (she is a sweetheart by the way) is worthy of parodying as is Trump’s “tan”.So go fuck yourselves with your smear campaign. In a tweet Milano wrote: "The right-wing trolls are using a still from this funny or die video where a parodied Snookie from Jersey Shore. If you see the screen grab that they are using maybe you can shut them down with a link to the entire video."

"Hey, assholes. The below picture is me parodying Jersey Shore and Snooki's [sic> tan," the "Charmed" star tweeted with a post of the "Funny or Die" sketch. "Snookie's tan (she is a sweetheart by the way) is worthy of parodying as is Trump's 'tan.' So go f--k yourselves with your smear campaign."

Also, here is my sex tape. They are probably going to try and take me down with this too. https://t.co/4B0TGBTqBL

In May, NBC “Tonight” show host Jimmy Fallon has apologized for doing an impersonation of fellow comic Chris Rock while in blackface during a 2000 episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

Fallon tweeted on Tuesday that “there is no excuse for this.”

Discussion of Fallon's 20-year-old skit surfaced this week after a video of it was posted online. According to Variety, it was first posted on Twitter by a user named “chefboyohdear,” and showed Fallon, as Rock, appearing on a talk show.
