
Humpback whales are making appearances off the coast of Southern California -- and it's great news for the public lucky enough to see them in the wild.
Recently, a captain with the Pacific Offshore Expeditions, took whale watchers on an all-day excursion and they all got a sight to see off the Redondo Beach coastline.
The whales seemed curious about the boat and even swam right up to the boat - as seen in the video below. The whales were even "singing," audible in underwater footage, according to the story in the OC Register, which first reported the news.
