Armed Suspect with Body Armor Wearing Trump Mask Slashes Tires in Mission Viejo

The Orange County Sheriff's Department booked a suspect in jail on suspicion of felony vandalism in Mission Viejo.

On Sunday morning, at around 4 a.m. this morning, deputies were conducting patrol checks of local businesses near Cabot / Vista Viejo, the OC Sheriff's Department said on Twitter.


They had to do a double take when they saw a person resembling President Trump slashing tires, the Twitter post said.

He was wearing a Trump Mask and slashing tires in a parking lot. Investigators believe he's linked to at least four tire slashing incidents. 

Rory Zimmerman had his bail set at $20,000 but that was later increased to $100,000.

Investigators say filing charges could possibly include weapons violations.

Investigators say the suspect had a loaded handgun, body armor, airsoft shotgun, and a ballistic helmet in his car, which had white/amber takedown lights similar to undercover police cars.

They're concerned he may have posed as a police officer.
