KNX received an exclusive tip about hate material posted on the balcony doors of a condo in Calabasas Tuesday. Sheriff’s detectives are investigating it as a possible hate incident.
After receiving numerous complaints about the signs, the City of Calabasas has given the owner notice that the material needs to be taken down.
A notice of violation of the City’s Municipal Code declaring the signs a public nuisance was posted to the front door – giving the owner until 4 p.m. today to remove it all.
If he fails to comply, he could face further code enforcement actions not limited to citations, warrants, and legal action. The mayor says the goal is to get the hateful material taken down as quickly as possible.

January 16, 2020 Emblazoned with swastikas, the materials posted on the door of one of the condos at the Park Sorrento Condominiums near Park Mirasol, appear to be pro-Nazi, and state "death to America."
Signs with racial slurs, and hate messages, remain posted on street-facing window of #Calabasas condo. @CityofCalabasas posted notice... saying the owner has until 4 p.m. today to remove them, or face civil penalties. pic.twitter.com/XLWDiw0A6q

January 16, 2020 Residents of the Park Sorrento Condominiums say this has been going on for a while with the man changing the signs from time to time.
One resident, who has lived here for nearly 30 years, says she’s scared.
At least two people told me the man has made death threats against them and/or their families.
One man even got a restraining order against him.
Calabasas Mayor Alicia Weintraub was told of the hate material by people walking by the complex.
Lt. Justin Diez with the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station says they’re investigating this as a potential hate incident. He says they are familiar with the man having been called out to his place a number of times over the past year or so.
