Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving penned a moving video tribute to Kobe Bryant Sunday.

"Kobe means to me what it means to plant seeds and watch them grow. To endure pain, trauma, and hurt, and go through an array of negative emotions, how you feel about yourself," Irving said.

Sunday, family, and friends celebrated the late Bryant's birthday. In honor of the day, Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation chimed in a day early with a tribute to the late Los Angeles Lakers player.

The foundation, which uses youth sports and charitable actions to elevate Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant's legacy, shared a video on Saturday produced by Nike that paid tribute to the basketball star.

Kobe, Gianna, and seven others were killed in a horrific helicopter crash on January 26. They were all on their way to a basketball game at Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks.

The foundation made their name change announcement back in February in an effort to honor both Kobe, The Black Mamba, and Gianna, Mambacita.

"In commemoration of Gianna 'Gigi' Bryant, Mamba Sports Foundation will now be known as the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation," the foundation said.
