The Children's Hospital in Los Angeles is named in the top 10 best children's hospitals in the country, according to a new list from the US News and World Report.
The hospital sits at the No. 5 spot while Boston's Children's hospital took the No. 1 spot.
They also remain the top pediatric hospital in the western US.
“The talented doctors, nurses, researchers, technicians and other team members at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles are unparalleled in their commitment to children’s health,” says CHLA President and Chief Executive Officer Paul S. Viviano said in a press release on their website. “CHLA is always striving to be the gold standard of pediatric care, and I am proud that when U.S. News & World Report looked at what we are doing to heal, protect and innovate, they affirmed our belief that CHLA belongs in the highest echelon of pediatric health care institutions.”

US News and World Report says the rankings offer guidance to parents seeking the best place for their very sick child. According to their website, the top 50 medical centers are ranked in 10 specialties, including pediatric cardiology & heart surgery, pediatric cancer and pediatric orthopedics.
In the 2019-20 rankings, 84 hospitals ranked among the top 50 in at least one pediatric medical specialty.
