Chuck Woolery, the former game show host of "Wheel of Fortune, and "Love Connection," recently tweeted that "Everyone is lying" about COVID-19, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the media, and Democrats, learned Monday that his own son was diagnosed with coronavirus.
"The most outrageous lies are the ones about Covid 19. Everyone is lying. The CDC, Media, Democrats, our Doctors, not all but most, that we are told to trust," Woolery posted Sunday. "I think it's all about the election and keeping the economy from coming back, which is about the election. I'm sick of it," he added.
Woolery's Twitter account was apparently erased Wednesday.
After President Donald Trump re-tweeted Woolery, a top member of the White House coronavirus task force said Tuesday that "none of us lie" to the public, an accusation President Donald Trump had retweeted, and that while kids need to be back in school as Trump insists, "we have to get the virus under control."
Adm. Brett Giroir's comment came a day after Trump shared a Twitter post from a former game show host who, without evidence, accused government medical experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, among others, of "lying."
As of this story's publishing, 138,000 Americans have died of COVID-19.
