Climate Change Rears Ugly Head in Freak Hailstorm in Mexican City

In one of the most bizarre weather moments to date, Guadalajara, Mexico was hit with a freak hailstorm, blanketing in the usually warm city under five feet of ice. 

On Twitter, Jalisco Gov. Enrique Alfaro said Civil Protection authorities jumped into action digging out cars, and draining the water once the snow and ice began to melt.

Hundreds of homes and businesses were damaged in the storm, and over 50 cars were swept away.
