
WESTMONT (CNS) - Authorities today identified a motorist sought in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed two pedestrians in the Westmont area near South Los Angeles.
The vehicle that struck the men about 8:25 p.m. Tuesday near Normandie Avenue and 95th Street was a 1990 Mercedes-Benz, and the impact of the crash tore off the vehicle's license plate, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicle was located a few blocks from the crash site, but the driver was not found.
Late this morning, investigators released a photo of the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Adolfo Flores, Jr., of Los Angeles, who is wanted on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run.
Felipe De Jesus Ruiz Parra, 47, died at the scene, the coroner's office reported. His home town was not known.
The other victim died at a hospital, His name was withheld pending notification of his relatives.
