The collapse occurred over the lobby area of the 100-foot-by-100-foot building, fire officials said. Pictures from inside the casino also showed debris atop some gaming tables. A water leak was also reported.

Eleven people were injured, and seven were transported for hospital treatment. All but one of the injuries was classified as minor. One person's injury was classified as "moderate" because the patient had a pre-existing condition, according to the county fire department.

The building will have to be inspected to determine its fitness for occupancy. The cause of the collapse was under investigation.
