Several Dog Breeds Are Helping Save Koalas During Australia's Raging Fires

As thousands of koalas have been trapped, injured and killed in the tragic fires raging in Australia, search and rescue teams are trying to find survivors. Bear, the organization IFAW's rescue dog, has come in to save the day.

Koalas are notoriously difficult to spot, but Bear, who is a member of the Detection Dogs for Conservation Centre team at the University of the Sunshine Coast is trained to find live koalas through their scent.
