The movie "Joker" featuring  Joaquin Phoenix comes out in theaters October 4.

Family members of victims, who were killed in a 2012 shooting in an Aurora movie theater, are urging Warner Bros. to donate the money from the movie to groups that deal with victims of gun violence Tuesday.

Twelve people were murdered while watching the movie "The Dark Knight Rises" in July 2012 in the formerly known Aurora Cinemark in Aurora, Colo. Seventy people were injured.

The group wrote a letter to the company and also urged its CEO to actively work and lobby for gun reform with Congress. The family members don't call for a boycott or canceling the movie.
