Progress Made in Sepulveda Basin Fire

There was another fire burning in the Sepulveda Basin Thursday.

LA Fire officials said it burned at least two acres but it jumped to 10 acres, as of late Thursday afternoon.

As of Thursday night, it stood at 60 acres and was 80 percent contained.

The LA Fire Department said on its website: "No injuries associated with this incident have been reported. The cause remains unknown and under investigation."

The brush fire is putting up quite a bit of smoke and can be seen from freeways in the area.

No homes are threatened at this time.
