UPDATE: Kitten Dies After Tossed from Moving Car, Hit by Another

A kitten lost its life Thursday after being thrown out of a moving car, and then being hit by another, police said.

El Segundo Police officers responded to a call Monday in the 300 block of North Continental Boulevard at about 9:25 a.m. of a witness who saw someone open the driver's side door and throw the kitten out. 

According to KTLA, another car hit the kitten while it was still in the street.

The witness called for help and police took the cat to a local animal hospital.
