After initially reducing services by 15-20% in late March, the Los Angeles Metropolitan Authority will further reduce public transit service beginning on Sunday.
On weekdays, the Metro Bus will run its usual Sunday schedule, including some Rapid, Express, and local bus lines. The buses will also operate on a normal Sunday schedule on the weekends.
The Metro Rail is expected to run every 12 minutes between 6 am and 6 pm, every 20 minutes at other times of the night. Final trips will take place at midnight. Weekends will see the rail service running on a Sunday schedule.
This schedule affects the B (Red), D (Purple), A (Blue), E (Expo), and L (Gold) lines. D Line trains will have four cars and B Line trains will have six cars so riders can adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Meanwhile, the C (Green) Line will run every 12 minutes between 4 am and 9 am, every 15 minutes until 3 pm, every 12 minutes from 3 pm until 6 pm and every 20 minutes between 6 pm and midnight.

NBC Los Angeles reports that LA city and county require face coverings for essential activities, and while they're not required for Metro riding, they are recommended.
Metro officials are still considering the closure of select rail station entrances to reduce the number of "touchpoints."
