
There's a fast-moving brush fire in Canyon Country in Santa Clarita that is continuing to wreak havoc Friday.
There are school closures and poor air quality on Friday morning. The fire is burning through 4,300 acres and is 5 percent contained as of Friday morning.
As many as 50,000 people have been forced out of their homes, 10,000 homes are threatened and hundreds of schools are closed.

EVACUATIONS FRIDAY:
Mandatory: South of Highway 14, west of Agua Dulce
North of Placeertia Canyon
Both sides of Sand Canyon Road
On Thursday, evacuations were been ordered for people west of the flames between Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon. Sierra Highway is closed at Soledad Canyon.
There are mandatory evacuations for Soledad Canyon Road to Shadow Pines Boulevard along the 14 Freeway in Canyon Country.
An evacuation center has been set up at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita as well as the Newhall Community Center.

MANDATORY EVACUATIONS for all residents North of 14 freeway, E of Whites/Plum Canyon, South of Vasquez Canyon, W of Agua Dolce Also, South of 14 freeway, E of Sand Canyon, N of Placerita Canyon, and W of Robinson Ranch Golf Course.
EVACUATIONS:
-From Davenport Road South to Sierra Highway. south to the 14 Freeway.
-From Sierra Highway up and over Vasquez Canyon to Bouquet Canyon.
-Everything south from bouquet canyon and Vasquez Canyon going into Canyon Country, everything south all the way to Soledad Canyon Road.
ALL UNDER MANDATORY EVACUATIONS:
-On the east and west side or front of that area.....
-From Plum Canyon all the way through Whites Canyon where those two roads connect, all the way down from bouquet canyon all the way down to Soledad Canyon, on Whites Canyon and Plum Canyon East
-From Whites Canyon all the way Soledad Canyon to the 14 freeway entrance, everything north of Soledad Canyon Road, going all the way up to Vasquez Canyon Road, Bouquet Canyon Road, Sierra Highway, and Davenport
-Area of Sand Canyon, Sand Canyon Road all the way to Placerita Canyon, both on the east and west side of Sand Canyon, as well as Placerita Canyon all the way to the 14 freeway.
