A little league facility in Marina del Rey that was heavily damaged in a vandalism attack is asking for the public's help.
Alva Parra with Culver Marina Little League tells KNX it probably happened Friday night not long after a small homeless encampment was cleared out of a dugout.
The floor was defaced with graffiti, the walls were smashed and a hole was left between the men's and women's restrooms.
Parra calls the whole thing "heartbreaking" and hopes things can be fixed before tryouts in February.
The nonprofit league serves primarily low-income families, and suspects the damage could equal to as much as $7,000.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up for the league for those who want to donate to the cleanup efforts.
