In yet another "Karen"-like incident, a woman in Rancho Mirage was captured harassing a landscaper asking to see his "papers" while he was mowing a lawn in a senior-living housing complex.
“You’re too close to me right now and you’re not wearing a mask. Can you step away," he told her.
The city determined it was an isolated incident, and the housing policy doesn’t need to be changed, the Palm Springs Desert Sun reported.However, the city attorney says property managers are conducting a separate investigation, which could lead to eviction.
“When she was harassing me, I started to feel mad because I was just doing my work,” Mendez told KMIR.Parkview Villas is a city-owned affordable housing complex.“Like any other complex I was just doing the work for all of them, mowing the lawn,” Mendez told KMIR. “I passed by her apartment and when I turned around to do the second round that’s when I saw her standing.”
