A worker at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa has tested positive for COVID-19.

Although the employee did not have contact with the public, they were in contact with 11 team members. So far none have reported experiencing any symptoms.

All of those workers who could have been exposed are being tested.

“In accordance with the health and safety protocols established by our healthcare consultants, MCRS has directed the team member not to return to work until medical professionals deem the person is healthy,” the company said in a statement.

The resort opened May, 11 after a mid-March closure due to the virus.

The Casino opened with limited capacity, temperature checks, touchless devices, and guests are required to wear masks while on the property.
