Just today, California Gov. Newsom announced that masks are mandatory for everyone in the state in public indoor spaces and outdoors.
In a statement to KNX, Don Barnes says it's each person's responsibility to wear a face-covering but not law enforcement's responsibility to enforce it.
Interim Health Officer Dr. Clayton Chau walked back the OC mandatory mask order just last week.
But, speaking this afternoon, he made it clear he's not anti-mask.
Dr. Chau says the county is reviewing the Governor's order and he anticipates making changes in the county's regulation.
Meantime, nail salons and massage parlors will be allowed to reopen in the O-C starting tomorrow. Seven more people have died from COVID-19 in Orange County -- bringing the total to 250.
