A pod of thousands of dolphins were spotted by a family chartered boat on a trip from Newport Coastal Adventure Saturday.
And there's video of the amazing creatures off the coast of Laguna Beach.
Jessica Raume, who is with Newport Landing and operates the tours, said "I doubt that having the shutdown happen made more fish appear in the area but you never know. There is a lot of things we don't realize we are contributing in the ocean environment that might negatively impact some of the animals out there and definitely getting a break from people for a little, I'm sure has been a help for them."
Roame says they're only renting to single-family households, with only the captain on board - and face coverings required.
