There's another incident of a rope found that could be a noose in Southern California.

A rope that reportedly looked like a noose was found hanging in a tree near an elementary school in Santa Clarita on Monday, according to a story from The Signal in Santa Clarita Valley on Tuesday.

"The rope, which appeared to be fashioned in a way that resembles a noose, was found on a hill near Charles Helmers Elementary School," the story reported.

The rope was taken down Tuesday morning before authorities arrived on the scene, according to The Signal's story.

A Black man, Robert Fuller, was found hanging from a tree in Palmdale earlier this month. That investigation is being overseen by the FBI and the California AG and the case is still under investigation.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's authorities and deputies have been notified and an investigation is underway, according to Mayor Cameron Smyth in a tweet on Tuesday.

"I am aware of the report of a noose being found in our community. @SCVSHERIFF  has been notified and an investigation is under way. Hate like this has NO place in our community and whomever is responsible must be prosecuted. If you have an information, please report to LASD," his tweet said.
