Taylor Swift will be the first woman to open an NFL Stadium when she performs in 2020.
Swift will have two concert dates July 25 and 26, 2020 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Her new album, "Lover," came out this summer and has been a smash hit on the charts.
The SoFi Stadium will be home to the LA Rams and Chargers.
Lover Fest West will have opening acts that will be announced soon.
"This is a historic moment for SoFi Stadium and the entertainment industry. We couldn't be happier to announce such an extraordinary artist as Taylor Swift for our first event," said Jason Gannon, managing director, SoFi Stadium, said in a press release on the SoFi Stadium website. "Taylor will be the first woman to open an NFL stadium, and is representative of the variety of programming we will deliver at Hollywood Park, including Super Bowl LVI in 2022, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics in 2028 as well as other spectacular events and concerts. In less than a year, we will open our doors to welcome world-renowned artists, show-stopping acts and their fans on the global stage of SoFi Stadium."
The public on-sale tickets will be October 17.
General ticketing and on-sale information is currently available at TaylorSwift.com. Tickets will be on-sale at 4 p.m. local time October 17 through ticketmaster.com.
