US Declares Public Health Emergency Over Coronavirus

The US is declaring a public health emergency due to the coronavirus.

So far, there have been more than 200 deaths in China and the virus has affected more than 10,000 people worldwide. 

Airlines are barring travel and suspending flights to and from China including Delta and American airlines. Countries, including the US, are evacuating its citizens from China out of fear of the outbreak. Others, like Russia, are barring their borders.

This week, the World Health Organization declared a global emergency over the virus.

So far the CDC says there are six confirmed cases of the coronavirus, one is human-to-human transmission, in the United States.
