The Los Angeles teacher's union and LAUSD have reached a tentative agreement about rules for instruction for the coming fall school year.
Although all campuses will remain closed, according to the agreement, the students will have virtual learning with a schedule that reflects a regular school day.
The union was unequivocally opposed to having LAUSD teachers hold the online-only classes from their classrooms.
Monday afternoon should offer more details, but the pact, in essence, resolves a huge obstacle for teachers and parent, anxious about how the learning was going to happen as the Aug. 18 school year start fast-approaches.
A vote will be made with the union's membership and the school board is set to meet Tuesday.
