The Huntington Park Police Department has unveiled their newest crime fighter. His name is "HP RoboCop," and he's there to keep an electronic eye out for unlawful behavior.
RoboCop us an "autonomous data machine meant to serve outdoors," the Huntington Police Department says. The device will "act as an extra set of eyes and monitor areas such as parks, city buildings, and corridors where police might not have the time to consistently patrol."
He's also pretty friendly. As in the video you can hear him offering a "good day to you," to passersby. It also has its own Twitter account, @HPRoboCop
Huntington Park is a 50,000-resident city located 10 km south of Los Angeles.
