
It looked like the radar picked up some type of weather phenomenon Tuesday night, but it was actually...ladybugs!
According to the National Weather Service in San Diego's Twitter, "the large echo showing up on SoCal radar this evening is not precipitation, but actually a cloud of ladybugs termed a 'bloom.'"
National Weather Service Meteorologist Miguel Miller tells KNX that the 80 mile long 80 mile wide blob was heading towards San Diego County from the San Gabriel Mountains.
