The original screen test for actors Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford has surfaced after 40 years.

It started when Hamill retweeted the previously unearthed 1970s black and white video, explaining that it was the first day the two had met. He goes on to say that neither of them had read the script, only the scene they were auditioning with. Hamil says, "I asked George what kind of movie it was - "Let's just do it, we'll talk about that later," Lucas replied. "We never did talk about it later-we just did it," Hamill says in his tweet.

My screen-test for @starwars w/ Harrison on the 1st day I ever met him. Neither 1 of us had read the script at this point, only this 1 scene. I asked George what kind of movie it was-"Let's just do it, we'll talk about that later" We never did talk about it later-we just did it. https://t.co/e7cHWoLmJk

According to Uproxx, the scene comes from the point in the film when “the Millennium Falcon encounters the remains of Alderaan, Leia’s home planet.”
