A woman in Brevard County, Florida was busted Thursday after a video captured her forcing her emaciated dog into the trunk of her car.
Sara Perry, 27, was seen just after leaving a local animal shelter where according to employees, she'd been demanded they either take the dog or euthanize it.
Perry was arrested on charges of felony animal abuse.
At the time of the incident, temps were in the 90s.
Perry was pursued by authorities, the dog was rescued and taken to the sheriff's animal care center.
Sheriff Wayne Ivey told Fox5 the crime "can only be attributed to someone who has zero compassion for animals and quite frankly shouldn't be allowed to own a plant, let alone a pet."
