Two hikers, who went missing on Saturday in the Mount Baldy area, have been found.
A helicopter crew spotted Eric Desplinter and Gabrielle Wallace last night after search parties found their foot prints.
Desplinter, who's an experienced hiker, expressed relief but said they are "perfectly fine." He told reporters how they coped:
"We rationed our food, drank water through a life straw and kept as warm as possible," he said.
He says they got lost after veering off a trail while headed to the top of Cucamonga Peak.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department were asking for the public's help in finding the lost hikers since Saturday.
A caller reported their friends Desplinter and Wallace missing Saturday to the sheriff's department.
The two were believed to be headed toward Cucamonga Peak, according to the SB County Sheriff's Department press release.
The caller reported them missing at 8 p.m Saturday after both were supposed to return by 7 p.m. They were both reported last being seen Saturday morning.
Deputies responded to the area where the hikers’ vehicle was parked and led a search.
