(KNX 1070) - A boxing star was ordered to take sexual harassment training and to pay a fine for aggressively kissing a news reporter on camera in March.

Boxer Kubrat Pulev had just finished a fight in Costa Mesa when the video shows him being interviewed by Jenny Ravalo -- also known as Jenny Sushe. A video of the kiss went viral on YouTube.

Ravalo additionally alleges that after the interview, the fighter "groped" her backside and then walked away.

Tuesday, Ravalo, Pulev and her attorney Gloria Allred attended a hearing by the California Athletic Commission (CAC) Tuesday in downtown Los Angeles.

According to tweets from KNX reporter Craig Fiegner, who was present at the hearing, Pulev defended the infamous kiss of Ravalo saying. "I was extremely emotional. I may have made a mistake, and I want to apology to her for it."

The panel said it would be a "teachable" moment. Questioning the fighter by asking him: "You interrupted her job. Do you understand?"

Ravalo had asked the commission to investigate and to suspend his boxing license after he kissed her. Pulev is hoping to appeal the suspension of his boxing license to the commission, asking for it to be re-instated.
