The Corona Police Department has been investigating a threat made on social media to Corona High School.

May 13, 2019 The police determined the threat on Snapchat was not credible but is going to be upping the patrols on campus.
Police spokesman Tobias Kouroubacalis tells KNX:
"As an abundance of precaution, some additional personnel were assigned to Corona High School to provide extra security on the campus and around the campus to help with this situation," he said.
The Corona-Norco Unified School District says the safety of students is a top priority and it works with police to investigate all threats.
In a statement Monday, the district wrote:
"So you are aware, the Corona Police Department has been investigating a social media threat that references a possible school shooting today at our school. Please be advised that this threat has been determined to be non-credible by law enforcement. A sweep of the campus has also been conducted by the Corona Police Department and has been cleared. As a precaution, extra law enforcement patrol and security will be on campus today. The investigation is continuing to determine the origin of the social media posting.
As a reminder, social media threats targeting the safety of our school are taken very seriously and carry serious consequences.
