An investigation is underway in Hawthorne after a seventh-month-old baby was found dead at a residential daycare facility.
The baby was found unresponsive in a bed at the daycare facility.
Hawthorne police were called to the scene Wednesday morning based on the reports of this unresponsive baby.
A woman left the home Thursday morning in pajamas and left in a car and refused to answer questions from KNX reporter Craig Fiegener except to say "I don’t know. I can’t tell you guys anything."

April 25, 2019 Swoope Family Child Care was already under investigation by social services for failure to "provide adequate care" that resulted in "children sustaining minor scrapes and bruises"and for using "bleach water solution to clean a child causing injury."
The facility was already under investigaton by the state the Department of Social Services looking into reports of minor injuries, bruises, scratches unusual injuries to kids while in the care at this daycare.
