The tributes for murdered rapper Nipsey Hussle will continue today at LA City Hall.
Just one day after thousands packed Staples Center and the streets of LA to say goodbye to murdered rapper Nipsey Hussle, the City Council has voted to name a South Los Angeles intersection in his memory.
Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson planned to introduce a motion to name the intersection of Crenshaw and West Slauson in South LA's Hyde Park as Nipsey Hussle Square.
The Los Angeles City Council approved a motion to rename the intersection as "Nipsey Hussle Square."
"I'm fairly confident we can get the other 14 members to support us on it," he said.

— Margaret Carrero (@KNXmargaret) April 12, 2019Hundreds of thousands of people have signed an online petition calling for it.
The intersection is near The Marathon Clothing store where Hussle was gunned down.
He'd invested heavily in the neighborhood.
Harris-Dawson says in a statement "Nipsey will always be remembered for delivering a pure, authentic Los Angeles sound, his numerous philanthropic efforts...and his humble heart."
He plans to adjourn today's city council meeting in Hussle's honor.
Family members are expected to attend.
