LAPD Detective Files Lawsuit Against Dept. for Not Protecting Her from Another Officer

(KNX 1070) - A lawsuit has been filed by Los Angeles Police Department Detective Ysabel Villegas against the LAPD for allegedly failing to protect her from another officer, Danny Reedy.

Villegas claims Reedy sexually assaulted her, beat her, and released sexually-explicit pictures of her.

It was filed by Attorney Lisa Bloom, who is representing Detective Ysabel Villegas.

Villegas was recently granted a restraining order against an officer she accused of allegedly distributing sexually explicit photos of her.

She says she and the officer had a five-year extra-marital affair, and he became abusive and threatening when it ended.

The officer accused has neither admitted or denied the claim.
