(KNX 1070) -- In an interview with The Washington Post last Wednesday the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, said she never believe Donald Trump would be elected president.

Now in her fourth decade as an elected representative, Pelosi didn't hold back when it came to discussing the prospect of impeaching the president and the divisive climate of Washington D.C.

"I’m not for impeachment. This is news. I’m going to give you some news right now because I haven’t said this to any press person before. But since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it," Pelosi told the Post.

Pelosi goes on to discuss Trump's fitness for office. When asked if she feels he is fit to be president she says no. Calling him "ethically," "intellectually," and "curiosity-wise" unfit.

At one point in the interview, Pelosi says she doesn't talk about Trump much. "This is the most I’ve probably talked about him. I hardly ever talk about him. You know, it’s not about him. It’s about what we can do for the people to lower health-care costs, bigger paychecks, cleaner government."
