(KNX 1070) -- The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested a security officer on suspicion of murder.
In a statement, the Robbery Homicide Division detectives from LAPD announced the arrest of Viktor Glukhovskiy for allegedly killing his wife and son on December 26, 2018.
"This horrific loss of life is incredibly disturbing, and the fact that the accused is a civilian employee of the LAPD makes it even more troubling. No individual is above the law and this Department will work feverishly to bring anyone who commits such a violent act to justice," the LAPD statement read.
Glukhovskiy is a civilian employee at LAPD Security Services Division. His wife was 39-years-old at the time of the murder, and their son Alex was 13-years old.
Glukhovskiy is being held on a $2,000,000 bail. The case will go to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office on Monday.
