Police Respond to Suspicious Item in USC Area

The LAPD says a suspicious item was found in the 1200 block of West 29th Street, and a bomb squad has been sent to investigate.

Some streets have been closed in the area, according to USC, which is nearby and is advising people to stay out of the area.

Police Activity at 29th St and Orchard Ave is ongoing. Please stay out of the area. The street closures on 28th St from Hoover and Orchard, 29th St from Hoover to Ellendale, 30th St from Hoover to Orchard will continue until further notice as the LAPD investigation is ongoing.
