A Pomona man pleads not guilty to charges that he murdered an 11-year-old boy from Inglewood nearly three decades ago.
Abducted while walking home from school in May of 1990, William Tillett's body was found hours later in a carport in a Hawthorne neighborhood.
It's a crime that rattled the Inglewood community. Edward Donnell Thomas is facing a capital murder charge with special circumstance allegations of murder while lying in wait and murder during the commission of a kidnapping.
Prosecutors have yet to decide whether they will seek the death penalty. It remains unclear how Tillett was killed and how police were led to Thomas.
He's due back in court next month.
