GLENDORA (CNS/KNX 1070) - Classes will resume Wednesday morning at Citrus College, after the school was locked down due to a phoned-in threat.

Glendora police received a call Tuesday from a man threatening to shoot up the school.

Nearby Azusa Pacific University was also placed on lockdown for several hours as a precaution.

A 30-year-old Chino man, who took classes online at Citrus, was taken into custody.

The lockdown was lifted on Azusa Pacific University's campus Tuesday. Staff and students no longer need to shelter in place.

Glendora police reported that a person was detained at Citrus College, but the campus is still on lockdown, and police are asking the public to continue to stay away from campus.

An unknown type of threat prompted a lockdown and police search of Citrus College in Glendora today, while nearby Azusa Pacific University also went on lockdown as a precaution.

The investigation began late Tuesday morning with "a threat at Citrus College," according to the Glendora Police Department.

Officials at Citrus College placed the campus on lockdown, and tweeted that the incident was "not a drill." University officials urged people to stay clear of the campus, and advised those already on campus to turn off lights, lock doors and remain quiet.
