(KNX 1070) -- A suspected gunman and a police officer are recovering from gunshot wounds Monday morning after an earlier shooting at a Hawthorne shopping center Sunday.
Authorities say it started when the suspect chased a woman inside a hotel lobby on Rosecrans Avenue.
The shootout happened after the police say the man ran to a shopping center across the street. One Hawthorne police officer was been shot in the leg near Rosecrans Ave and Aviation Blvd.
