Iconic guitarist and co-founder of Van Halen, Eddie Van Halen has died after a long battle with throat cancer, according to TMZ.
TMZ reports that he died at St. Johns Hospital in Santa Monica Tuesday with his wife Janie, his son Wolfgang, and his brother Alex at his bedside.
The singer has battled cancer for over the last ten years.
TMZ reports that within the last three days, he was diagnosed with throat cancer that had traveled to other organs.
His ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli also took to Twitter late Tuesday afternoon saying "I will see you in our next life my love."
