"James Bond" actor Sir Sean Connery has passed away.
He was 90.
BBC was the first to report the news.
The Scottish-born actor rocked to fame as the 007 agent.
He starred in the highly successful franchise between 1962 and 1963, appearing in seven films.
He traded in the pristine suit to tackle other films including "The Wind and the Lion," "The Man Who Would Be King" and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."
His star-power continued throughout his career as he was selected as People magazine's "Sexiest Man of the Century" in 1999.
Connery is survived by his second wife, painter Micheline Roquebrune, whom he wed in 1975, Variety notes.
He is also survived by his son, Jason Connery, who he shared with first wife, Diane Cilento, and a grandson from Jason's marriage to actress Mia Sara.
This is a developing story and will be updated with more details soon.
