Following in the heavy footsteps of the interview heard around the world with Oprah probing the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert lightened the moment with a hysterical spoof.
Titled “Oprah with Major & Champ” "The Late Show's" version sought to get the truth behind the “biting incident” that forced the dogs out of the White House and back to their home in Delaware.
The interview starts with Oprah asking Major to explain his side of the story.
“Now I’m free to say I didn’t bite the agent,” Major barks. “The reverse happened.”
A reference to the moment in Oprah’s interview when Markle talked about rumors that she’d made Kate Middleton cry at her wedding in 2018.
